The Full Plan
The Full Plan is delivered at the end of your work with Level Ground, bringing together the analysis, scenarios, and decisions from every step along the way. The engagement is a flat $2,800 at the current rate and typically unfolds over 2-4 months. Below is what it typically includes.
A complete plan covers three categories:
Family Financial Guidance
Budget Analysis
Understanding where your money goes, both today and in the future, is the foundation for planning. I build a clear, organized picture of your income and expenses through a structured, guided process. From there, we look at what surplus or shortfall exists and talk through what adjustments, if any, make sense for your goals.
Family Support Definition
Money and care decisions rarely affect one person alone. I facilitate bringing the family into conversation about what support — care, housing, or financial — may fit your combined circumstances. The goal is a shared understanding everyone has agreed to. Note: this is a facilitated conversation, not a legal one, and formal caregiver agreements belong with an elder law attorney.
Retirement Income Planning
Social Security Timing
The timing of when you claim Social Security can meaningfully change your lifetime income. I calculate your actual benefit at each claiming age using your real earnings record, not estimates. I also incorporate these options into your financial projections to illustrate timing trade-offs. You decide which age fits your needs.
Annuitization Analysis
Guaranteed income can reduce the risk of outliving your money and provide a stable source of cash during periods of economic uncertainty, but annuitizing assets is a complex decision that comes with trade-offs. I illustrate the long-term financial impact of annuitizing different amounts of your savings based on current market rates and across a standard set of product configurations. As a licensed life insurance advisor, I offer personalized recommendations on specific annuity products and configurations as a separate service for applicable states.
Withdrawal Sequencing
Deciding which accounts to draw from first can meaningfully affect how far your money lasts. I walk you through the general principles and why that order tends to reduce lifetime tax burden. From there, you decide how it applies to your accounts; that becomes part of your plan's foundation.
Long-Term Care and Home Equity
Long-Term Care Contingency Planning
Long-term care is one of the largest, least predictable costs families face. I apply statistical data on how often care is needed, how long, and typical costs, then look at where those costs would come from given your finances and family support. I also provide education on different ways of obtaining long-term care insurance and typical eligibility guidelines.
Medicaid Threshold Awareness
Knowing whether your assets might run low, and roughly when, gives you time to plan rather than react. I check your projected assets under each growth scenario and flag when they might fall below a meaningful level. For more advanced planning and preparation, I'll help connect you with a Medicaid specialist.
Home Equity Strategy Overview
Your home is often one of your largest assets, playing several possible roles in retirement from providing cash or income to funding long-term care. I cover ways to incorporate your home into your financial plan and tools available to do so. If you're interested in exploring specific financing options, I'll help you find the right professional.
